USB Cables

The ability to make and maintain connections between different devices has never been possible in so many different ways. This section is dedicated to the cabling and solutions needed to enable these connections.

USB Cables

Arranged into four groups, our comprehensive range offers USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 peripheral cabling and extension sets. The traditional "Type A” connector is common to both the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 standard, representing the "host” connection type. Whereas the "Type B” connector is the most commonly used peripheral input typically found on desktop devices such as printers or scanners. The introduction of USB 3.0 gave rise to the development of a "Type B” variant as the common USB 3.0 peripheral connection and for mobile technology the smaller "Mini B” and "Micro B” interfaces are typically used.

Launched with the new 3.1 standard is the "Type-C" which represents the first universal connector in the USB family. This is used for both peripheral and host interface connections and can be connected in any orientation.
