SCSI System

The ability to make and maintain connections between different devices has never been possible in so many different ways. This section is dedicated to the cabling and solutions needed to enable these connections.

SCSI System

Used widely both internally (within the computer case) and externally (outside if the computer case), SCSI System cabling has been traditionally used for high speed drive or peripheral connections.

The HD68 connector represents the most common interface now used for internal SCSI drive connections with the IDC 50 very much a legacy port type. With drives installed in a chain and several connections along the length of an internal SCSI ribbon cable, a single SCSI port may support a number of individual drives.
